He was predeceased by: his mothers, Byron "Barney" Childerson (Busch) and Marie; his wife Shirley Lou Volkmar; his daughter Janice Sullivan; and his siblings, Joyce, Roger, Norma, DuWayne, Wanda and Glenda.
He is survived by: his daughter Lisa Heimback (Steve) of Caseyville, Illinois; his grandchildren, Ian Heimback (Crystal) of Glen Carbon, Stevee Markland (Josh) of Edwardsville, Robbie Sullivan of Collinsville and Kyle Sullivan; and his great grandchildren, Lexi, Logan, London, Andie and Zola. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
