He was predeceased by: his parents, George J. Hettinger and Corene M. Hettinger (Kleiss); and his siblings-in-law, Joseph Brown and Sandy Hettinger. He is survived by: his daughters, Anna Moellering (Mark) of Argyle and Kate Moody (Brian) of Tuscola; his grandchildren, Braxton, Elijah Moody, Madeline and Elizabeth Moellering; and his siblings, Richard Hettinger of Tolono, Sara Brown of Rantoul, Jerry Hettinger (Becky) of Savoy and Tom Hettinger (Renée) of Tuscola.
Visitation was held on Sunday, September 28th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Hilligoss Shrader Funeral Home (705 S Main St, Tuscola, IL 61953). A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Monday, September 29th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the Forty Martyrs Catholic Church (201 E Van Allen St, Tuscola, IL 61953).
