She was predeceased by: her parents, Milard Fairbanks and Edna Cowley Fairbanks; her husband Herb Shewmaker; and her daughter Deborah Henry. She is survived by: her son Steven Henry (Sarah) of Arcola, IL.; her stepsons, Michael and Brian Shewmaker; and her siblings, Marvin Fairbanks of Champaign, IL. and Margaret Chrisman of Monticello, IL..
Visitation will be held on Thursday, October 8th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the Hinds Funeral Home and Cremation Services (348 N Piatt St, Bement, IL 61813). A funeral service will be held on Thursday, October 8th 2026 at 12:00 PM at the same location.
Memorial contributions can be made to the Bement United Methodist Church or the donors choice.
