He was predeceased by: his parents, John Pangburn and Lorena Davis Pangburn; his wife Nola M. Haskin; his grandson Josh Elder; and his siblings, Marshall Floyd Pangburn, Helen Henry, Erma Reed and Alice Koberlein.

He is survived by: his children, Mike Pangburn (Linda) of Camargo, John Pangburn (Diane) of Tuscola and Cheryl Elder (Mike) of Cantonment, FL; his grandchildren, John Elder (Cindy), Matt Pangburn (Erin), Steve Pangburn (Suzanna), Shane Pangburn (Jennifer) and Lisa Fenton (Josh); his great grandchildren, Alison Pangburn, Mac Fenton, Lincoln Pangburn, Gwen Pangburn, Michael Wain Elder, Tara Elder, Katie Elder and Ezra Pangburn; and his brother Charles Pangburn of Mattoon.
