With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Irene Drew (Urbana, Illinois), born in Bessemer, Alabama, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on February 24, 2025 at the age of 82. She was predeceased by: her parents, Ethel Burton and Amos Naylor; her husband William Drew; and her grandson Jace Ernst. She is survived by: her brother Samuel E. Burton of Cincinnati Ohio; her children, Sam Ernst of Las Vegas, Nathan Ernst (Valerie) of Naperville, Doris "Nikki" Mosley (Trayton) of Urbana and David Drew; her grandchildren, Terrance Ernst of Las Vegas, Alishia Thomas of Las Vegas, Jayana Gordon of Las Vegas, Kayonna Bufford of Champaign, Shyanee'Bufford of Champaign, Akierra Bufford of Champaign, Nakiyah Bufford of Champaign, Asante'Bufford of Champaign, Charli Drew, Naevi Drew, Jerzi Drew and Taylor Amos of Rantoul; and her great grandchildren, Omari, Xharia, Jassan, Khalil, Amaya, Jordyn, Prophet, Santana, Londyn, Syaire and Leila Irene.
She parted ways with life on Earth February 24, 2025 at Carle Foundation Hospital in Urbana, IL her only daughter Nikki and grandchildren by her side.
