Michael O'Connor Obituary
We are sad to announce that on June 1, 2025, at the age of 80, Michael O'Connor (Urbana, Illinois) passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his mother Margaret O'Connor; and his sisters, Barbara Helgeson and Anne Marie Sharkey. He is survived by: his stepfather John O'Connor; his wife Sheila; his children, John and Kate; his son-in-law Ed; and his grandsons, Max, Sam and Ian.
A celebration of life will be held on Sunday, June 8th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Silver Creek Greenhouse (402 N Race St, Urbana, IL 61801).
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests a contribution to the Palestine Children's Relief Fund, the University of Illinois Foundation's Osher Lifelong Learning Institute (OLLI) Fund, or the National Kidney Foundation.
