We are sad to announce that, on June 1, 2025, at the age of 80, Michael O'Connor (Urbana, Illinois) passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his mother Margaret O'Connor; and his sisters, Barbara Helgeson and Anne Marie Sharkey. He is survived by: his stepfather John O'Connor; his wife Sheila; his children, John and Kate; his son-in-law Ed; and his grandsons, Max, Sam and Ian.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests a contribution to the Palestine Children's Relief Fund, the University of Illinois Foundation's Osher Lifelong Learning Institute (OLLI) Fund, or the National Kidney Foundation.
