He is survived by: his children, Bob Mathis (Debbie), Ken Mathis (Deb), Rick Mathis (Valerie), Cathy Propst (Lyndall) and Nina Pankau (Mike); his wife Joan; his brother Chuck; his grandchildren, James, Sarah (Kevin), Andy (Stephanie), Corey (Marcia), Lucas, Jamie (Jared), Jake (Heather), Austin, Aaron, Alex (Candice), Sammie (Sam), Jackie (Cory) and Zach (Jolene); and his great grandchildren, Eli, Lucy, Mackenna, Rhodie, Katelynn, Gavin, Jaxon, Jace, Jett, Jade, Addisyn, Jayden, Rylee of Blakely, AJ, Natalie, Johnathon, Genevieve, Coraline and Eliza.
Visitation will be held on Friday, September 25th 2026 at 10:00 AM at the Community Free Church of Mahomet (102 W Riverbend Blvd, Mahomet, IL 61853). A funeral service will be held on Friday, September 25th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
Charitable contributions can be made in honor of Bob to St. Jude Children's Hospital and WGNN Radio.
