He was predeceased by : his parents, William Gahan and Alice Gahan (Burke); his wife Charlotte Panneck (Church); and his brother William. He is survived by : his sons, Donald (Dee Dee Owens) of Utica, Tim (Donna) of Goodyear, AZ., Mike (Amy) of Mendota, Marty (Dorrine) and Steve (JoEllyn) of Mendota.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be directed to St. Mary's Church in Utica, and OSF Foundation at Saint Paul's Hospital in Mendota, and Saint Elizabeth Hospital in Ottawa.
