He was predeceased by: his parents, James Helton and Helen Irene Helton (Mayes); his mother-in-law Joyce "Meme" Ritchey; and his brother James C. Helton. He is survived by: his wife Laurie Helton of Vandalia; his children, Dennis Helton (Michelle) of Vandalia, Jacqueline Nordyke (Butch) of Shobonier and Camia Helton of Vandalia; his father-in-law Jesse L. Ritchey of Vandalia; his sisters, Christina Curry of Paoli, IN and Darlene Helton (Louis); his sister-in-law Vicki Helton of Salem, IN; and his grandchildren, William Nordyke II, Alexis Nordyke, Isabelle Helton, Maddy Nordyke, Logan Helton, Ryan Helton, Ethan Helton and Angel Schoenhoff. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends.
A celebration of life will be held on Sunday, July 13th 2025 at 3:00 PM at the Crown Point Church.
In lieu of flowers and gifts, memorials may be made to the family or an organization of the donor's choice.
