It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Barbara A. Swofford of Vandalia, Illinois, who passed away on January 24, 2024, at the age of 81, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by : her parents, Benjamin Miller and Ilene Miller; her husband Everett L. Swofford; and her son-in-law Dennis Merriman. She is survived by : her children, Mark Swofford (Bev) of Fairhope, AL, Mike Swofford (Russ) of Imperial, MO and Beverly Merriman of Vandalia; and her grandchildren, Eric and Kelly Swofford.

Memorials may be made to the Fayette County Hospice or SBL Fayette County Hospital-Long Term Care.
