She was predeceased by: her parents, Jesse Childress and LaVada Childress (Wright). She is survived by: her husband Darold Rhodes of Vandalia; her children, Carl Rhodes (Frances) of Taylorville and Sharon Koonce (Denny) of Marine; and her grandchildren, Nathan Rhodes (Paige) of Taylorville, Michele Orsborn (Jeremy) of Nokomis, Racheal Ehrhardt of Nokomis, Andy Koonce (Halli) of Edwardsville and Calvin Koonce (Nicole) of St. Louis. She is also survived by seven great-grandchildren.
A graveside service will be held on Tuesday, December 16th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Spring Hill Cemetery (N 2075 St, Beecher City, IL 62414).
In lieu of flowers and gifts, memorials may be made to Northside Christian Church, where Dorotha was a devout and faithful member.
