Herbert Louis Woolsey Obituary
We are sad to announce that on October 16, 2025, at the age of 96, Herbert Louis Woolsey of Vandalia, Illinois passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Benjamin Frederick and Anna Helena Woolsey (Braun); his former wife Dixie Woolsey; his sons, Randall and Ronald Woolsey; and his siblings, Benjamin, Raymond, Harold, Gerald Woolsey, Pauline Mitchell and Arline Varady.
He is survived by: his wife Mary Woolsey (Cline); his stepchildren, Dale, Paula, Marilyn Vise and Columbia; and his brother-in-law Charles Cline (Judy). He is also survived by 13 grandchildren; and 19 great grandchildren, several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Monday, October 20th 2025 from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Unity Baptist Church (716 County Rd 1700 N, Vandalia, IL 62471). A funeral service will be held on Monday, October 20th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
Memorial contributions may be made to McInturff Cemetery and/or Unity Baptist Church.
