He is survived by: his sons, Todd McDowell (Melissa) of Glen Carbon, IL and Greg McDowell (Jolene) of Millstadt, IL; his grandchildren, Joshua, Jennifer, Lauren and Lucas; his great grandchildren, Barrett and Nolan; and his siblings, Mike McDowell (Ellen) of Louisville, GA, Lynn McDowell (Shelley) of Vandalia, IL, Carolyn Powell (Nelson) of Brownstown, IL and Connie Chapman of Vandalia, IL..
Visitation was held on Friday, November 14th 2025 from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Miller Funeral Homes - Vandalia (831 N 5th St, Vandalia, IL 62471).
