She was predeceased by: her parents, Louie James and Beulah Mae Harkins (Hampton); her husband John William Reams; her brother Charles Harkins; and her granddaughter Mari Schaeffer.
She is survived by: her children, Kim (Delmar Miller) of Brownstown, Cindy (Jim Hof) of Vandalia, Doug Reams (Jana) of Hudsonville, MI and Tom Reams (Colleen) of Vandalia; her siblings, Jim Harkins (Paulette) of Gilman and Beverly (Darrell Phillips) of Metropolis; her sister-in-law Cora Harkins of Tucson, AZ; and her grandchildren, Jacy Schaub (John), Stefanie Anderson (Kyle), Aaron Miller (Chelsie), Luke Hohlt (Megan), Zach Schaeffer (Megan), Nicole Reams, Megan Boss (Steve), Colin Reams (Peyton), Josh Reams (Megan) and Jessica Warner (Chad). She is also survived by numerous great-grandchildren, extended family, and friends.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, October 1st 2026 from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the First Church of God (3001 County Rd 1800 N, Vandalia, IL 62471). A funeral service will be held on Thursday, October 1st 2026 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
Memorial contributions may be made in Mary's memory to first church of God.
