She was predeceased by: her parents, Floyd Wright and Elsie Merle Wright (Harris); her former husband Dr. George Richard Lawler; her husband Charles E. Cunningham; her siblings, Don Wright, James Wright and Erma Miller; and her granddaughter Christina Lawler.
She is survived by: her children, George Lawler (Michelle) of Freeburg and Debora (Tom Zaffiri) of Springfield; her sister-in-law Jeanne Lawler Hohlt of Vandalia; her grandchildren, Brandon Lawler (Christie), Amy (Brian Rogers), Tommy Zaffiri (Alli), Brad Zaffiri (Matt Kurusz), Evan Lawler (McKenzie), Zoe Lawler, Elise Lawler and Liam Lawler; and her great grandchildren, Keegan Lawler, Tilman Lawler, Nora Lawler, Barrett Lawler, Maddie Rogers, Penelope Rogers and Tommy Zaffiri. She is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, extended family, and countless friends.
Visitation was held on Saturday, September 12th 2026 from 10:30 AM to 12:00 PM at the Hohlt & File Funeral Home, Ltd. (204 N 4th St, Vandalia, IL 62471). A memorial service was held on Saturday, September 12th 2026 at 12:00 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers and gifts, memorials may be made to The Fuller Center for Housing of Fayette County.
