He was predeceased by: his parents, C. Walter Hall and Ollie D. Hall (Shearer); his sister Elizabeth "Betty" Schaufler; his grandson Robert S. Hall II; his niece Beverly Lattin; and his great-nephew Dusty Storm.
He is survived by: his wife Marjorie Hall of Vandalia; his children, Robert Hall of Wheeling, WV, Dianne (Larry Hopkins) of Vandalia, Mike Hall (Candy) of Vandalia and Julie (Danny Gable) of Shobonier; his grandchildren, Helen Hall, Gabriel Hall (Jennifer), Julia Hall (Donna), Maddie Hall (A. K.), Melissa (Randy Sasse), Matt Hopkins (Beverly), Julie (Mike McCall), Chris Hall, Amy Carpenter, Andrew Hall, Danielle (Seth Whitehead), Chloé (Chris McNeill) and Jake Gable (LeAnn); his niece Shara Storm; and his great-niece Janelle Storm. He is also survived by 16 great-grandchildren; 2 great-great grandchildren.
A funeral Mass will be held on Monday, May 18th 2026 at 10:00 AM at the Mother of Dolors Catholic Church (322 N 7th St, Vandalia, IL 62471).
In lieu of flowers and gifts, memorials may be made to Mother of Dolors Catholic Church, Meals on Wheels, or to the Sorrowful Mothers Ministry.
