He was predeceased by: his parents, George W. Elam and Edna B. Elam (Kleinik); his siblings, Donnie Elam, George "Junior" Elam, Doris Elam and Evelyn Hecht; his nephew Brent Elam; and his niece Sherri Elam.
He is survived by: his wife Millie Elam of Vandalia; his son Brian Elam (Tricia) of Vandalia; his granddaughter Kacey (Ryan Fiscus) of Jackson, TN; his sister Anna Keeling of Missouri; and his sister-in-law Neva Elam of Mulberry Grove. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends.
In lieu of flowers and gifts, memorials may be made to the Wounded Warrior Project or to the Bond County Humane Society.
