It is with great sadness that we announce the death of John D. Russell of Vergennes, Illinois, who passed away on June 16, 2025, at the age of 81, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Rayburn A. Russell and Mary Russell (Barringer). He is survived by: his wife Helen Ellis (Crane); his daughter Tina Marie Wiersema (Jeff); his stepson Mike Ellis (Barb); his granddaughter Jodi; his stepgrandchildren, Billy, Michael, Kelli and Philip; his siblings, Alice Bird, Ernest Russell (Marilyn), Rick Russell (Nancy) and Shirley Smoot (Kenneth); and his brother-in-law Donald Bird. He is also survived by nieces, nephews.
