Leland Allen Coffer Obituary
With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Leland Allen Coffer of Vergennes, Illinois, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on July 22, 2025 at the age of 77. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
As we bid adieu to Leland Allen's earthly form, let us not dwell on the void left in his wake, but rather celebrate the legacy of love and inspiration Leland Allen has bequeathed us. For though he may have departed from our sight, his spirit remains a timeless beacon, guiding loved ones through the labyrinth of life's journey.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Henry Allen Coffer and Rose Ellen Coffer. He is survived by: his wife Marsha Coffer (Baskin) of Du Quoin; his son Jason Allen Coffer (Tammy) of Evansville, IN; his grandson Levi Allen Coffer (Kaitlyn); his great grandchildren, Avery Elaine Coffer and Brooks Allen Coffer of Newburgh, IN; his grandson Riley Joe Coffer of Evansville, IN; and his sister Linda Austin (Tom) of Benton, MO. He is also survived by two nephews and three nieces.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, August 2nd 2025 from 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Searby Funeral Home (130 S Washington St, Du Quoin, IL 62832). A memorial service will be held on Saturday, August 2nd 2025 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
Memorial donations may be made to Hospice of Southern Illinois, Marion, IL, and will be accepted at the funeral home.
