With profound sadness, we say goodbye to Patricia Nelson of Vermont, Illinois, whose vibrant spirit touched the lives of many. She was predeceased by: her parents, Dwight Johnson and Mary Johnson (Short); her husband John Wade Nelson; her son Kent Nelson; and her sister Marva Wherley.
She is survived by: her children, Edward Nelson of Glasford and Maryann Swain (Bill) of Reidsville; her grandchildren, Joel Nelson, John Nelson, Matthew Swain (Katherine) and Mindy Griffis (Josh); her great grandchildren, Cole Nelson, Clayton Nelson, Delaney Nelson, Micah Swain, Harvey Swain, Ruth Griffis, David Griffis, Nathan Griffis and Abigail Griffis; and her brother Larry Johnson (Janet) of Pekin. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, memorials in Pat's name may be made to the Vermont Christian Church.
