She was predeceased by: her parents, Michael Herrig and Catherine Herrig (Moran); her husband James "Jim" Murphy; her brother Paul Herrig; and her brother-in-law Victor Habisohn.

She is survived by: her daughters, Kathleen "Kate" (Wayne) of Atlanta and Claire Guzman (Gerardo) of Barrington, Illinois; her grandchildren, Erin, Kathryn, Caroline Hood, Anna, Alex and Megan Guzman; her sister Mary Habisohn; and her sister-in-law Arlene Herrig.
