It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Bernice Kohl (Vienna, Illinois), who passed away on December 29, 2023, at the age of 96, leaving to mourn family and friends. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Bernice Kohl to pay them a last tribute.

She was predeceased by : her parents, Lester L. Austin and Tressie Jane Austin (Harris); her daughter Jane Marie Garcia; her stepson Michael Kohl; and her brothers, Lester Austin, Jr., Norman Austin and Ellis Austin.

She is survived by : her sons, Howard Wayne Bessette (Peggy) of Florida, William "Bill" Eugene Bessette of Kankakee, James Edward Bessette (Lula) of Vienna and John Edmund Bessette (Dorothy Jones) of Kankakee. She is also survived by 18 grandchildren; 43 great grandchildren and several great-great grandchildren.
