She was predeceased by: her parents, Glenn E. Mowery and Lois Ina Mowery (Lingle); her siblings, Hazel M. DeWitt (Gibb), Elois Mowery and Caroll W. Mowery; and her son-in-law Jerry Akins.

She is survived by: her children, Cathy Akins of Vienna, Sandra Jordan (Steve Dingrando) of Vienna and Dale Poole (Jani Jones) of Vienna; her grandsons, Jason Akins (Pam), Josh Akins (Jessie) and Matthew Jordan (Heather Brasher); her great grandchildren, Logan Akins (Destiny), Gavin Jordan, Kinley Jordan and Alaina Akins; her great great grandchild Jaden Akins; her grandson Charlie Hiatt; and her friend Doris Throgmorton. She is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins and many friends.
