He is survived by: his wife Karen Watkins; his children, Jeremy Harper (Heather) of Dubuque, IA, Megan Wells (Robert "BJ") of Tolono, Bobby Button (Stacy) of Villa Grove and Erin Getzelman (Matt) of Cumming, GA; his grandchildren, Hayden, Declan, Bella, Logan and Jessa; and his sister Terri Richards of Champaign.

A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, September 26th 2026 at 1:00 PM at the Villa Grove VFW.
