With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Joan Winchell of Villa Park, Illinois, who passed away on December 10, 2025 at the age of 88. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was loved and cherished by many people including: her husband Vernon H. Winchell; her children, Julie Bruder (David), Amy Mazzone (Robert) and Michael Winchell (Shari); her grandchildren, Christopher, Katie Bruder (Jon Youseph), Alexa Hinde (Matthew), Samantha Gustrowsky, Bailee and Jake Winchell; her stepgrandchildren, Mia Mazzone, Stephanie, Brittany and Andrew Noble; her great grandchildren, Ella, Teddy, Sofia and Jax; and her sister Rita Compton (Clarence). She was also cherished by many nieces and nephews.
In Lieu of flowers, memorials to St. Jude Children's Hospital are appreciated.
