Edward Richno Obituary
It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Edward Richno of Virden, Illinois, who passed away on October 14, 2025, at the age of 79, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Edward "Freck" Richno and Celestia "Sally" Freeman Richno. He is survived by: his wife Beverly Richno of Virden, Illinois; his children, Cary Thompson (Daniel) of Virden, IL, Becky Hart (Wood) of Quemado, NM and Edward Richno (Dara) of Girard, IL; his grandchildren, Samantha McCallister (Justin), Cody Thompson (Sydney), Luke Thompson (Meagan), Trey Hart (Meghan), Megan Hisel (Luke), Coleman Hart (Justine), Charlie Baker and Capri McKnney; and his siblings, Mary Dee Divjak (Gerald) of Auburn, IL and Martin Fox of Springfield, IL.. He is also survived by 20 Great Grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Monday, October 20th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Airsman & Calvert Funeral Home (521 N Springfield St, Virden, IL 62690). A funeral service will be held on Monday, October 20th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location. A burial will be held on Monday, October 20th 2025 at 12:00 PM at the Virden Cemetery (19220 Cemetery Rd, Virden, IL 62690).
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Wounded Warrior Project or to the Tunnel to Towers Foundation.
