He was predeceased by : his grandfather Marshall McGary. He is survived by : his parents, Dana Sweet-McGary of Pawnee, IL and Rob McGary of Meridian, ID.; his stepmother Sharon Kaylor; his sister Tori Summer (Nick) of New Bern, NC; his nephews, Landon and Rowan Summer; his niece Layla Summer; and his grandparents, Fred, Bernice Sweet of Essex, IL and Roberta Nall of Springfield, IL. He is also survived by several aunts, uncles and cousins.

Visitation was held on Friday, April 12th 2024 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the Cross Church (1030 W Main St, Carlinville, IL 62626). A funeral service was held on Friday, April 12th 2024 at 3:00 PM at the same location.
