Larry Secrist Obituary

We are sad to announce that on December 9, 2025, at the age of 60, Larry Secrist of Virden, Illinois passed away. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Larry Secrist to pay them a last tribute.

In the soft embrace of remembrance, we recall the profound impact Larry had on those he encountered along his journey. Though Larry may have slipped beyond the veil of mortality, his essence lingers like a faint fragrance in the air, a lingering reminder of the beauty and complexity of the human experience.

He was predeceased by: his parents, William Secrist and Sharon Boen Secrist; and his brother Casey Secrist. He is survived by: his sons, Brandon Shawn Secrist and Eric Joseph Secrist; and his siblings, Shannon Secrist of Virden, IL and Lucas Secrist (Georgia) of Columbus, Ohio. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews and cousins.

A celebration of life will be held on Friday, December 19th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the First Baptist Church (310 W Madison St, Girard, IL 62640).
