He was predeceased by: his parents, Oliver Cox and Melissa Cox (McClure); and his siblings, Lucy Chilton, Nathan Cox and Jerri Jo Kingston.
He is survived by: his spouse Coni Kay Sinclair; his daughters, Dr. Veronica Dale Bjorkman of Winston-Salem, NC and Kaydee Grace Garrett (Keith "Shawn" II) of Charlotte, NC; his grandsons, Keith "Tripp" Garrett III and Kayden "Rhett" Garrett; and his siblings, Nora Mae Chapman (Donald) of Virginia, George Lee Cox (Glenda) of Chandlerville and Mary Ann Newbern (Wes) of Beardstown. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, September 9th 2026 from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Virginia United Methodist Church (400 E Broadway St, Virginia, IL 62691). A funeral service was held on Thursday, September 10th 2026 at 10:30 AM at the same location.
