It is with great sadness that we announce the death of George McKennedy Sr. of Virginia, Illinois, born in Springfield, Illinois, who passed away on August 14, 2020, at the age of 83, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Francis John and Dorothy Rose Clinton McKennedy; his wife Mary C. Hagloch; his children, George John McKennedy II of Springfield and Lore McKennedy (Lance Malone) of Virginia; and his grandchildren, Brandon M. McKennedy, Tyler J. McKennedy, Timothy C. McKennedy-Malone and Elizabeth N. McKennedy-Malone.
Due to the pandemic, and understanding that only a certain amount of people can be in the church, a walk through visitation will be held at the church 10-11 a. m. prior to the service at the church.
