He is survived by: his father Harold Dixon of Jacksonville; his wife Jeanie Chilton; his children, Deanne Day (Dustin) of Carthage, Melissa Bell (Gary) of Virginia, Erica Atterberry of Jacksonville and John Frank of Springfield; his grandchildren, Caitlin Day (Logan Romager), Josie Day, Bridgette Bell, Kristopher Bell, Shane Graham and Kourtney Atterberry; and his sister Barbara Zulauf of Jacksonville.

Memorial donations are suggested to the First Baptist Church in Meredosia.
