He was predeceased by: his parents, Frank Ashmus of Payson, Arizona and Mary Ellen Fogerty of Lake Villa, Illinois; his stepfather Albert "Al" Johnson; and his grandson Brandon Michael Lee of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.. He is survived by: his wife Anita Ashmus; his children, Jerrie Ashmus of Kenosha, Shannon Ashmus (Robin) of Kalamazoo, Melanie Ashmus of Berry, Gina Dukas (Adam) of Antioch, Antonette Montoya of Ocala, Christian Hopkins (Bill) of Lindenhurst and Charles Pacheco of Melvin, Illinois.; and his siblings, Frank "Fritz" Ashmus, Mark Ashmus (Kris) of Fond du Lac, Wisconsin, Louise Erickson (Mike) of Kenosha Wisconsin and Sherry DeMay of Kenosha Wisconsin. He is also survived by 18 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.
