With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Barbara Sue Peterson of Wadsworth, Illinois, born in Fayette, Alabama, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on August 24, 2025 at the age of 93. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
In the sacred silence of farewell, Barbara is released into the embrace of eternity, knowing that her light will continue to shine brightly in the tapestry of the lives of her loved ones. And as her memory is carried forward, may comfort be found in the knowledge that love is eternal, and that Barbara's spirit lives on in the beauty that surrounds us.
She was predeceased by: her husband Jack Peterson; her son Jay; and her brother Kenneth Lawrence. She is survived by: her daughters, Kay Lynn Scales (Cecil) of Kenosha, WI and Joan Boone of Winthrop Harbor, IL; and her grandchildren, Christina Cabadas (Joe) of Kenosha, WI, Jennifer Brayshaw (Jared) of Greendale, WI and Jeffrey Scales.
