He was predeceased by: his parents, Ralph Swank and Mildred Swank (Ott); and his brothers, Rodrick, Ralph and Wayne.
He is survived by: his wife Betty Swank of Joseph's Catholic Church; his children, Stephen (Michelle), Shannon, Alex and Aaron; his grandchildren, Gavin and Kaiden; his siblings, Bryan (Mary), Darryl (Kim), Stuart (Annette), Sue Pecher (Mark) and Marianne Buehler; and his uncle Lee. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Monday, August 31st 2026 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Congdon Funeral Home (3012 Sheridan Rd, Zion, IL 60099). A Mass of Christian burial was held on Tuesday, September 1st 2026 at 11:00 AM at the St. Brigid Parish-Church of St. Patrick (15000 W Wadsworth Rd, Wadsworth, IL 60083).
