With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Dora Jean Peek of Waltonville, Illinois, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on August 19, 2025 at the age of 80. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, James M. Morrison and Eva M. Morrison (Titus); her granddaughter Shelby Hale; and her siblings, James Morrison, Jr. and JoAnn Apthorpe.
She is survived by: her spouse Garnet "Buddy" Peek; her children, Teresa Hale (Terry) of Waltonville, Illinois, Jon Peek of Columbia, Mike Peek of Saint Louis and Mathew Peek of Saint Louis, Missouri; her grandchildren, Justin England of Waltonville, Jordan Hale (Brooklin) of Scheller, Jada Hale of Waltonville and Jonas Peek; her great grandchildren, Jayleigh England, Raylan England and Tydus England; and her brother Robert Morrison (Sheryl). She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Memorials may be made in Jeanie's honor to Waltonville Freewill Baptist Church, Jefferson County HCE, or Knob Prairie Cemetery.
