He was predeceased by: his sister Cesilia Romero; and his grandfather Karl Downing. He is survived by: his mother Rhonda Bottcher (Donnie) of Marengo, IL; his wife Sydney of Warren; his pets, Smokey and Duke; his father Jim Downing (Theresa) of Forreston, IL; his brothers, Felix Romero (Melina) of Belvidere, IL and Aidyn Bottcher of Marengo, IL; his cousin Cody Whitehead (Gabrielle) of Forreston, IL; his siblings' children, Ellie, Mia, Melanie, Emmett Romero and Parker Whitehead; his grandparents, Wanda, Tim, Gary and Donna; and his aunts, Jenny and Misty.
Visitation will be held on Friday, November 14th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Warren High School. A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, November 15th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
A memorial has been established in his name.
