He was predeceased by : his granddaughter Danielle McClain; and his siblings, Nancy Hitz, Vera Bright, Andy Miller, John Miller, Walter "Popeye" Miller and Jerry Miller.

He is survived by : his wife Gloria Bowles of Warsaw; his children, Michael Miller of Hamilton and Carla McClain of Nauvoo, Illinois; his grandchildren, Jonathan Miller of Hamilton, Justin Miller of Hamilton, Amy Newlan (Luke) of New London, Adam Miller of Keokuk and Alexis Woolverton (Justin) of Niota, Illinois; and his great grandchildren, Alex, Aaron Brotherton, Abigail Newlan, Briley and Natalie Miller. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews and cousins.
