He was predeceased by: his wife Janet R. Phillips; his parents, James Perry Phillips and Greta Ruhnow; and his sister Evelyn Lubic. He is survived by: his sons, James D. Phillips and Ronnie Phillips; his grandchildren, Audra Tibbits (Mike), Lynsey Beaston (Devin), James Phillips, Zachary Phillips, Cody Phillips and Sophie Phillips; and his great grandchildren, Jett, Amelia and Maverick. He is also survived by nephews and their children.
