She was predeceased by: her parents, Roy Hawkins and Daisy Hawkins (Greer); her husband George Nellos; her daughter Norine Jobe; and her siblings, Leroy Hawkins, Richard Hawkins, Harold "Sonny" Hawkins, Charles Hawkins, Betty Hawkins Anderson Tallman, Ruth Hawkins Smith and Virginia Riddle.

She is survived by: her children, Nadine Smith of Montrose, Iowa, Wesley Jobe (Julie) of Hamilton, Illinois and Ninette Whippie of Keokuk, Iowa; her grandchildren, Breanna Smith, Jason Smith, Brandon Whippie (Victoria), Nicole Miller (Dalton), Taylor Gibson (Dayton), Matt Riley (Sam), Josh Riley and Caleb Riley; and her great grandchildren, Brenden, Braylynn, Sylynn, Lilly, Matthew, Maximus, Mary Louise, Max, Ada June and Tucker.
