Gary R. Monagle Obituary
With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Gary R. Monagle of Washington, Illinois, who passed away on September 17, 2025 at the age of 75. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Alton R. Monagle and Myrtle Bradford Monagle; and his brothers-in-law, Ken Albright and Ron Plattner. He is survived by: his spouse Kay Plattner; his sons, Peter Monagle (Lisa) of Bloomington and Jason Monagle (Mischelle) of East Peoria; his grandchildren, Quade, Quentin, Daizy, Oliver, Hannah and Ellie; his sister Sharon Albright; and his siblings-in-law, Janice Plattner, Jo Reiker (Tom) and Rick Plattner (Mary).
Visitation was held on Monday, September 22nd 2025 from 8:00 AM to 9:45 AM at the Apostolic Christian Church of Washington (432 E Cruger Rd, Washington, IL 61571). A funeral service was held on Monday, September 22nd 2025 at 10:00 AM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital or Midwest Food Bank in Peoria.
