He was predeceased by : his parents, Eva G. Reeves (Dexter) and Leslie Reeves; his wife Bettie L. Dirksmeyer; and his siblings, Eldon E. Reeves, Wilma Knight and Trula Ewers.

He is survived by : his children, Eugenia Reeves, Angie Warren (Greg), Mark Reeves (Sheryl) and Darren Reeves. He is also survived by his 8 grandchildren; and his 10 great-grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Northern Tazewell Fire Department.
