As we bid Gladys farewell, let us not mourn the absence of her physical form, but rather celebrate the essence of her spirit that lingers in the spaces between moments. For Gladys is not truly gone, but merely transformed, her energy intertwined with the fabric of the universe itself, forever dancing among the stars.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Emil Zank and Leona Zank (Sukow); her husband Bill Schaal; and her daughter Deborah Walker. She is survived by: her daughters, Karen Schaal and Melanie Smet (John Smet); her granddaughters, Shani Walker (Edward Barnes) and Kristen Derose (Michael Derose IV); and her great grandchild Lillith Derose.
