He was predeceased by: his parents, Clifford Bolander and Alberta Frisby Bolander; his son Christopher; and his siblings, Jessie Collins Jr., Florence Medley, Thelma Cope and Bonnie Collins.
He is survived by: his wife Barb Maxwell of Washington; his children, Kathy Maple (Ralph) of Washington, Peggy Hinkle of Mt. Pleasant, IA, James Bolander of Bloomington, IL and Patricia Bolander of Peoria; and his siblings, Tom Bolander of North Carolina and Becky Collins of East Peoria. He is also survived by 15 grandchildren, 37 great-grandchildren, and 10 great-great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to the Greater Peoria Honor Flight.
