It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Judith Hallberg of Washington, Illinois, who passed away on September 5, 2025, at the age of 86, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Emery William and Clarice Mary Abbott (Koch); her brother David Abbott; her son Thomas Hallberg; her grandmother Hannah Koch (Peterson); and her brother-in-law Gary Hallberg.
She is survived by: her husband Bob; her daughter Suzanne Caldwell (Jack); her grandchildren, Nicholas Hallberg (Cassie), Courtney Caldwell, Justin Caldwell and Matthew Caldwell (Jamie); her great grandchildren, Maxwell Hallberg, Mila Hallberg, Hayes Hallberg, Carter Caldwell and Carmen Caldwell; and her siblings-in-law, Helen Abbott and Lynn Hallberg (Karen). She is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, October 4th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Delehanty Funeral Home (401 River Ln, Loves Park, IL 61111). A memorial service will be held on Saturday, October 4th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations to Chapters Living of Washington, Illinois, an assisted living facility that Bob and Judy enjoyed living in for several years.
