She was predeceased by: her parents, Hobart Hummel and Ila Faye Hummel (Edelman); her husband Irvin L. Nelson; and her son Michael. She is survived by: her children, Mark Nelson (Cindy), Michelle Homan (Marvin) and Margo Nelson; her grandchildren, Molly Diaz (Cesario), Megan Homan (Anthony Ault), Taylor Pfeifer (Bernie Smith) and Travis Pfeifer (Kristina); and her great grandchildren, Jordan, Lydia, Cesily, Sloane, Colson, Greyson and Sebastian.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Eureka Apostolic Christian Home.
