The memory of Max Tessier of Washington, Illinois, who passed away on May 6, 2026 at the age of 102, will forever remain in the hearts of those touched by this precious presence in their lives. He was predeceased by: his parents, Ezra Tessier and Grace Stevenson Tessier; his wife Belva Combs; his brother Dean Tessier; his half-brother Dale Tessier; and his sister Audrey Rudloff.
He is survived by: his children, H. Wayne Tessier (Janice) of Morton, IL, Marilyn Martin (Dale) of Winston-Salem, NC, Connie Hohulin (Keith) of Cumming, GA, Phyllis Stewart (Jim) of Cumming, GA and Kathryn Ehrsam (Scott) of Washington, IL.; and his close friend Audrey Kochendorfer. He is also survived by ses nine grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandson, several nieces, nephews, cousins.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, May 13th 2026 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM and on Thursday, May 14th 2026 from 10:00 AM to 10:45 AM. A funeral service was held on Thursday, May 14th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the 14 St Mark's Lutheran Church (200 S Main St, Washington, IL 61571).
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to St. Mark's Lutheran Church or VFW Post 9016 in Washington.
