We are sad to announce that, on April 20, 2026, at the age of 68, Richard Brekke of Washington, Illinois passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Richard Lee and JoAnne Brekke (Fox); and his wife Janice M. Brekke. He is survived by: his children, Bonnie Marie Landgrebe (Jacob), Richard "Wade" Brekke, James Colton Brekke (Keisha) and Jolyn Dawn Brekke; his grandchildren, Ava and Lanie McGlothlin; his stepgrandchildren, Jacey, Eleah and Landon Landgrebe; his great grandchild Ily McGlothlin; and his siblings, Beth Gundy (Scott), Chris Brekke (Louise) and David Brekke. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the American Heart Association.
