He was predeceased by : his parents, Ralph Smith and Blanche Smith (Boyer). He is survived by : his children, Steven Smith of Washington, Kim Bendixen (Norbert) of Washington, Kelly Ruder of Washington, Krista Cooper of Washington and Kara Smith (Carrie) of Peoria; his grandchildren, Ashley, Cassy (Ryan), Chevie (Levi), Taylor (Jake), Kiley, David and Heidi (Paul); and his great grandchildren, Pierce, Colby, Kitner, Maylee, Mac, Jack, James, Aaliyah and Chance.

Visitation was held on Friday, April 26th 2024 from 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM at the Connect Church (1750 Washington Rd, Washington, IL 61571). A celebration of life was held on Friday, April 26th 2024 at 5:00 PM at the same location.

Memorial contributions may be made in Bob's memory to the American Red Cross.
