With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Thomas E. Dalton of Washington, Illinois, who passed away on January 8, 2026 at the age of 76. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

As Thomas departs from this earthly realm, his essence lingers — a whisper on the wind, a ripple on the water — a testament to the enduring power of love to transcend the boundaries of life and death. Though Thomas may no longer walk beside us, his spirit lives on in the memories and the legacy Thomas leaves behind.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Thomas L. Dalton and Betty Dalton (Lemons). He is survived by: his children, Heather Dalton of Peoria and Thomas Michael Dalton of Washington; and his stepdaughter Melanie Coppenbarger of Washington. He is also survived by seven grandchildren, and several grandchildren.
