He was predeceased by: his parents, John Cole and Mary Cole (Hallam); and his wife Karen. He is survived by: his children, William Cole Jr., Edward (Anita Cole), Brian (Rose Cole), Molly (Dane Cole) and Angelic Cole; his stepchildren, Jeff, Patti Nelson, Kelly Pearson Lavery and Cheryl Miller; and his grandchildren, Jessica, Matthew, Trent, Chawnee, Eric, Timmy, Nicki, Cody, Christian, Maverick, Merlin, Arthur, Emma, Nicholas, Zachary, Joshua, Ryan, Cole, Kayla and Christopher. He is also survived by 28 great-grandchildren.
A celebration of life was held on Sunday, August 30th 2026 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Deiters Funeral Home and Crematory (2075 Washington Rd, Washington, IL 61571).
